“ I've heard good things about this place but am rarely up in Sparks. I swung by to pick up some takeout after being in the area for a doctors appointment. It was hard to find at first because Apple Maps took me to the building next door instead. I was also looking for a sign that says Nam Van but all the signage says on the building is Noodle Cafe. I can't speak to the service since we just did takeout. The inside is on the smaller side, it's a dine-in restaurant but they also have bubble tea that you can order at the counter. They had my order ready promptly when I arrived about 10-15 mins after I called to place the order. My husband got chicken pad Thai and I got the wonton pho soup! We both really liked our dishes. Affordable, flavorful, large portion sizes. My husband got medium spice level with some additional spicy chili sauce on the side. He ended up using all of the extra sauce because he said it needed more spice. It was not his favorite pad Thai he has had recently but it's up there on his list! I liked that my soup came with at least 5-6 wontons plus chicken and pork. I wish this place was closer to NW Reno where we live because I could see us coming back fairly often for takeout in the future! ”
“ I am not feeling well and wanted something warm and thought I would try Nam Van Noodle Cafe! I ordered broth/noodles (beef broth) and shrimp spring rolls! The broth was sooooooo good and hit the spot and the shrimp spring rolls were so yummy (except for the cucumbers, but that's my fault for not asking them to take off! ) The place was very quaint and the staff was very friendly! I recommend this place! ”
“ Soo flavorful spring rolls are not your typical but still so delicious. Wor wonton soup was delicious as well as the chicken pho. Frequently coming here! ”
“ I had a wonderful dinner with my family. We ordered three delicious meals each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The dining room was impeccably clean and well-organized, creating a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. But it's not a great place for bigger parties with five or more people. The bathrooms were well-maintained which is always a plus. The service was exceptional and attentive and incredibly helpful, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. They also change the menu prices it now has a cash price and card price for each menu item and drinks. I think the difference was maybe $.25 or $.30 between the cash and card price. ”
“ At first, I was a bit lost looking for this place because I couldn't see "Nam Van" On the sign. Glad I found it. This is comfort food at its finest. I can't wait to go back and try their pho! We ordered to go. The staff was very nice and generous with their sauce packets and made sure we had everything we needed. The place looked very clean and organized as well. We got fried rice, shrimp chow mein & shrimp spring rolls. Everything was amazing and so flavorful. E will be coming back soon!(: ”
“ Noodle Cafe in Sparks is a hidden treasure. It has fantastic Pho, great broth, and lots of healthy choices. Thank you to Eli for excellent service, Tony and Tan for asking if we would like more broth for our Pho. Yes please! Nice atmosphere, great food, fair prices. Loved it. Julie A ”
“ Service was quick and food was fresh. The amount of rice noodle to fresh veggies (cucumber, lettuce, bean sprouts) was a bit overwhelming but the really odd part was it looked like someone made rice noodles and then cut them to be the size of rice??? Doesn't change the taste of dish but was not what I was expecting or wanting. ”
“ I have been a customer here at this particular Vietnamese/ Chinese restaurant for over a decade. Now my kids ask me to bring them here for a quick bite or their boba fix on a hot day. Two things that are a must try here is their lavender hot tea with steamed milk and their Vietnamese coffee hot or iced. If you do order iced, try the coffee jelly for an extra kick. I'm a sucker for good coffee and this one hits the spot every single time. Food and service has always been consistently good here. Their prices have continued to go up, but portions have gotten smaller. Not a very big dining room, but there are a few larger tables to accommodate larger parties, a few 4 tops and 2 tops. Restaurant is clean and no complaints about the restroom in that regard; I just wish there was another. Even when the dining room has been full, it's not crazy loud! I appreciate quieter places these days. ”
